Westin Hotel Khandala

The vision for this hotel was to develop the site for both domestic families and tourists and for conducting conferences and conventions. Situated in the hills of Khandala, surrounded by the Kune Falls and valley, this site was perfect to create a space for rest, rejuvenation and relaxation. The contours of the site were used to their full potential by keeping the hotel at the highest point such that one receives the unobstructed view of the valley from the site.

The lower contours of the site were used for the construction of private bungalows to avoid obstruction. The north-west façade is opened up towards the valley and this also provides optimum natural light and ventilation to the structure. A majority of the suits, the banquets, restaurant and pool is facing the valley giving the users a complete view of the scenic beauty.
